Pretzels are for Dipping
Coming to you with another winter boredom busting activity. In edible form. Which, can we all agree, is really the best form?!? Dipped pretzels: It's foolproof fun for the whole family. Head to the grocery store and grab some giant pretzel rods. And some dipping chocolates in your favorite flavors. If my family wasn't so selfish and insistent I share, I would make a whole batch of dipped dark chocolate pretzels drizzled with caramel, and shove them all in my face. But since that sadly is not an option, we do a lot of milk chocolate dipping drizzled with white chocolate. Melted chocolate chips with a teaspoon or two of vegetable oil added in works like a charm as well. Dip 3/4 of the pretzel length into the melted chocolate, then lay flat on a cookie sheet lined with wax or parchment paper. Finish with a sprinkling of your favorite toppings. We do toffee bits, mini M&M's, coconut, chopped nuts, sprinkles, and crushed candy canes. Bonus: throw three or four dipped pretzels into a little cellophane baggie, tie on a pretty bow, and voila! teacher gifts and neighbor gifts!!! Happy dipping.
